Winter Hair Breakage Treatment

Winter Hair breakage

Does your hair get dry ,brittle or break? We understand how harsh the climate change can be on your hair , Here's how you can treat your hair this winter.

First of all, you need to avoid hair care and styling habits that lead to hair breakage, such as over-processing, frequent use of braids and hair extensions, frequent use of heat styling tools without applying styling products, frequent use of hair dye, use of rubber bands to hold the hair and not allowing the hair to rest for at least 6 weeks before retouching it again with relaxer (if your hair is relaxed)

Hair breakage can then be treated using Hairsavvy’s 3-Step Solution for Hair Breakage, which is a step-by-step rehabilitation process for damaged hair and it involves the following;

STEP 2: REPAIR
Damaged hair has to be repaired. To achieve this, deep condition with Hairsavvy Deep Penetrating Hair Restorer Conditioner with herbal extracts to repair damaged hair, restore moisture and prevent breakage and split ends, while added protein will strengthen the hair.

How to protect your hair during the heat wave

Heat Wave!!!

Protect your hair from the Heat!!!

Oh NO Heat Wave!!! We all know how the sun can be harmful to our skins , But did you know prolonged exposure to the sun can damage the hair and cause it to become dry, brittle and even lose it' s natural colour. Protect your hair by covering it with a hat or cover yourself with an umbrella.
#saynotohairdamage

Follow these pointers to minimize the effects of the heat  and the suns damaging rays:

  • Always use Moisturising shampoos and conditioners to counteract the dehydration caused by the heat.
  • Look for products with UV Filters like our Hairsavvy Oil Moisturising Complex Lotion to protect your hair.
  • Wear a Hat or get an umbrella

Hair line rescue

Hair Line Treatment

One of the most common hair problem we as women experience is the Hair Line loss. Why? Well because we ladies like being a little too adventurous with our hair. Changing from this hairstyle to the next in a short period of time.

It could be because we simply want to keep up with all the trends and always look our best but can our hair keep up with all that?

Hair line breakage is usually caused by continuous and excessive pulling on the hair due to various types of hairstyling, such as ponytails, buns, braiding and cornrows. This traction gradually results in hair loss. If this type of traction and hair loss continues for an excessively long period of time ,  the hair loss may become permanent. Firstly you need to stop wearing hairstyles that place strain and tension on your front hair and then apply Hairsavvy Olive oil & Lanolin Hair Food to your scalp daily- especially along the hair line, and massage it in. It strengthens weak damaged hair and stimulates hair line growth. Massage your scalp and hair line for 10 to 15 minutes every day. This will help to increase blood circulation, deliver nutrients to the hair follicles and stimulate growth

Here are some  additional steps to treating your hairline;

1.Stop! Stop! Wearing tight hair styles immediately.
2.Avoid using chemicals.
3.Get into the habit of massaging your scalp daily.
4 Apply natural oils to your hairline , or products which contain coconut oil,olive oil etc.
5. Cover your hairline with silk or satin bonnet before you sleep.
